LIVE Making Whoopie Slings For Your Hammock With Amsteel

I am making a new hammock for my daughter and this is the making of the whoopie slings.  I am trying something a little different than I usually do by reversing the whoopie sling.  I am doing this for a couple reasons.  First, normally the adjustable end its attached to the Marlin Spike hitch that I use to attach the sling to the tree strap, and I noticed that after a while, probably a long while, that it is wearing.  I am also putting a climbers descender ring on the adjustable side that will be attached to the hammock at the gathered end.  This will cut way down on the wear as it is super smooth and designed to have rope going through it.  The added benefit is that will also act as a rain stop.
