Awesome Camera Holster System for Backpacking - Peak Design Capture Pro or Deekec

I have come to love my camera clip that allows me to attach my camera directly to my backpack shoulder strap. I have both the Deekec and the Peak Design. I didn't really know if it would be that great so I first got the less expensive Deekec brand, then got the original Peak Design. They are essentially the same and interchangeable with minor differences. The Peak Design company overall is really exploring what you can do with the concept, and therefor has all the additional options available. So beyond the camera, you can get attachments for lenses, gopros and binoculars. The ability to attach it to the tripod is available on the Pro model. Deekec has the ability to attach to the tripod already. This means that if you have multiples you can hot swap, or just attach to the tripod when needed.

I have constantly been interchanging the plates and they work seemlessly.

I do like to attach it to my full backpack strap so I suggest getting the optional longer screws. But if you don't care it can attach to the webbing easily, or a belt for hip carry.

The Peak Design also has the ability to lock the release which may be vital if doing strenuous climbing.

No matter what kind of photography you do, Capture lets you take your camera everywhere and never miss another shot. The new ergonomically redesigned, ultralight Capture Camera Clip is a camera holstering solution for everyone, with an attractive price to match. Carry your DSLR or compact camera directly on any backpack strap, belt or bag. The quick-release lock keeps your camera rigidly secure, yet instantly accessible. Aluminum & glass-reinforced nylon construction.
