Nature Calls Backpacking

Snowshoe Hammock Overnight on the Wenatchee Ridge

Wonderful snow backpacking trip on the Wenatchee Ridge north of Blewett Pass.  Took a bunch of fun stuff to play with in the home-made pulk. Unfortunately the pulk fell apart so I had to pack it all in my Osprey Zenith 88 for the way back.  Most of the hike I use the Kahtoola Microspikes but then had to go off-trail to find a good hang, so needed to put the snowshoes on for that.  Set up my Chameleon Hammock with the winter cover, a Hilleberg UL 20 tarp for the shelter, my diy 0 degree underquilt with a big Agnes Hogan Park 0 degree bag for the top quilt.

Had only about 2 inches of new snow. But had a great time.
